lol, love the last line. And the voice is GREAT. Love Dari and the fact she’s encouraging little Molly to say all those delightful naughty words

As for hair-cuts… my son has a hair cut that makes him look like Luke Skywalker or Anakin in Phantom Menace. And, scary enough, he could be Luke’s evil twin. Except his hair is a gorgeous golden shade with the most amazing copper highlights.

Ah, it’s one of the purest pleasures, teaching kids how to swear. My fave part, though, is the second family aspect of finding out that her father is a somewhat changed man. Just how weird the multi-family dynamics can be.

I did too! And more than once: as in, in third grade and then again in 10th grade.

Very nice!

I love this line, great description: “She shook her head, the snarled bowl cut moving like it was shellacked in place. I had this compulsion to brush her hair: it was practically all I could think of when I saw her.” I used to have a haircut like that.

Teaching little girls naughty words, I like Dari a lot!
